Dispersed over an area of 70 sq. Kms, the Idukki Wildlife Shrine is one of Idukki's famous tourist spots. The sanctuary, located at an altitude of 450 to 748 feet, occupies the forest land between the rivers Cheruthoni and Periyar and is a natural habitat for many species of animals.
